Mama Said...

My Mama said to be prepared for the worst and give the best I can.
My Mama said I should never settle for less than I dream of.
My Mama said I could accomplish anything I wish for, as long as I really fight for it.
My Mama said I should never let someone cry if I can help it.
My Mama said nobody has the right to make me suffer.
My Mama said that honor and compassion should be my most valuable assets.
My Mama said lots of things that I've got to appreciate along the years. Although she is a simple lady, she somehow managed to preach some extraordinary values to her kids.

My mom with all her kids, I am the little person
I've been really lost these days because Sunday she suffered a minor stroke while talking to me on the phone. I jumped in the car in my flip flops and rushed to her house and took her to the hospital. Apparently she is a very healthy lady of 71 because the doctors could not find anything wrong with her, they assumed the minor stroke was caused by the extreme hot weather. Hopefully tomorrow they'll send her home. She is entirely recovered and, I've reached this conclusion when I realized that she managed to piss off most of the medical staff and some patients that don't agree with her requirements for open windows and fresh air. She is a great mom but a very, and I mean, very difficult, nagging, headstrong person. But she's my mom...you know what I mean :).

Petronela, I'm sorry to hear about your Mom's stroke. I'm soooo happy that she is doing better. My Mom just had a stroke 3 weeks ago. She is going fine. I did want to mention that when people get older that small strokes are common. I was relieved to hear this information from her doctor, so I wanted to tell you. In Canada, the doctors will send the patient for a scan to show if there are any more blood clots. Can you do this in your country??? My Mom had the test and it shows no more clots in her system. This bit of information may give you and your Mom some comfort.
Sending lots of healing energy to your Mom!!! And a big hug to you :)

Many blessings to you and your mom! Glad she is doing well and healthy. Your mom sounds like an amazing woman and I love the fact that she is headstrong and telling the doctors what they should do. Clean air makes so much sense, right? Sounds very much like my family! How sweet you are to have rushed over there - such a special bond between you two! xoxo!

Dear friend, I wish your mother will get well soon.

My mother is 76 years, she eats very badly: only eat junk. She smokes a lot. Frankly, I do not know how not nothing worse happened to her.

I leave a kiss with love for you and your mother.

Many blessing.

Dear Petronela,
You, an extraordinary lady with an extraordinary beloved mother, have my total admiration.
May this unsettling scare have completely passed. Anyone who can piss off most of the medical staff and some patients, is my hero! :)
All the very best to your mother and please, take care of you.
Comforting wishes, your way, Gary

Sounds like my mom! What a frightening experience, but I am glad she's okay. I believe it's always a good sign when they can harass and piss off the medical staff and other patients.

What a scary experience... so glad to hear she is all right. My mum is the same - very head strong and opinionated... and she never stops telling me what I should be doing with everything. But I still love her and wouldn't change a thing about her:)

Petro, thanks... so...
Yesterday there was a presentation on a program about the journey of an actor in Berlin. Then he went to a park where there were many people enjoying the sunny day and they played at karaoke. He was called to sing and sang "Oh if I caught you!" It was hilarious! I remembered you too!

Kisses
