Day 1, after the Apocalypse

I woke up this morning...apparently. The air seems breathable, the water is clear, the sky is a little cloudy but I am sure it's not because of some meteoric dust...but because it's going to snow...again. My boyfriend behaves a bit strangely, so I cannot exclude the fact that he could embody some extraterrestrial life form. I eat a few biscuits and they do taste the same. The cats are unusually calm, they watch me eating my biscuits with no pleas for sharing them..
That is strange indeed. And their eyes do sparkle in a weird way. I get out in the garden wearing my rubber boots and observe my neighbors' houses. They seem unchanged, yet too silent. At this hour, the head of the house would start tormenting his wife with laud remarks on her cooking. I notice some strange footprints in the snow...they look like hooves. My heart stops but then I remember they must belong to my neighbor's cow...What a disappointment...no Apocalypse...just another ordinary day...

Lol... I don't normally fall into this kind of stuff, but I must admit this time I was a little nervous. I was brought up strict Christian so my image of end of world includes waking up & all the good people gone! Thanks in part to the Bible and the movie Left Behind.

My other images are of zombies, plagues, famine, killer gangs and a very walking dead kinda world. That's thanks to my love of syfy and my own very active imagination. I'm still waiting got reports of missing people & strange occurrences... Oh, wait, that's the sane as everyday. Hmmm, lol.

I completely forgot about yesterday special day and only remembered later in the afternoon.
They say that it will be a new phase for our planet anyway, not necessarily the end of the world.
I am hoping for a good year to come.
Merry Christmas my lovely friend! XX

Oh my, I know that Romania has a lot of castles (Europe has many great castles). I would love to explore them one day! If I have a chance to go to Romania, I want to visit Bran Castle, I'm so curious about it! I really love castles since I was a kid, lol.

Funny you humans didn't notice, but yesterday was our coup, and now the world has been completely taken over by kitties... but you see it as just another day! Wow, that was easy!

I bet my life savings that the world would end on December 21. Those Mayans owe me, big time! :)

Have a peaceful weekend, Gary, looking strangely like a garden gnome :)

Gorgeous post. I expect the cats would have let you know if the Apocalypse had been imminent - unless of course you had not been giving in to their every whim...
Have a wonderful weekend. I still envy you your snow as I sit here dripping...

I love it, I had even forgotten the day was suppose to end. I just feel that the earth will take care of herself, she makes herself known when she isn't happy, and has been giving us clues, we know what they are. Some of us listen and do our part, many ignore. Either way is when she feels the need to make all or most people extinct. It'll happen, we can only slow it down.

BTW I've have moved my Blog here, I hope you will still come and visit!
