Ratatouille for Valentine

I am not really the wining and dining kinda gal, to be honest I hate cupids, and hearts for Valentine's day, so I thought I 'd show my affection in a different way, in a way that has always guaranteed me a success when it comes to my life partner. He is a gourmand, a taster, a man who takes delight in discovering new foods, new flavors, and it gives me great pleasure to indulge his culinary debaucheries.
He loves stews and since we have never tried the famous Ratatouille recipe before, I thought I'd give it a shot.I used this Ratatouille recipe. The result was not very impressing, it looked kinda mushy, but the taste was amazingly delicious. I highly recommend.

I've never tried Ratatouille so went to check out the ingredients and found that tomatoes are key ingredients. Sadly, I'm not a fan of tomatoes.

Nothing like a nice home cooked meal for Valentine's dinner. :)

Ali and I love ratatouille as a side dish (usually to go with a nice juicy steak) We keep it simple - onions, tomatoes, pepper, courgettes, and some herbs - and cook it long enough to cook but not to get too mushy. Mmmm...

Hello Petronela:
The ways to a man's heart can be many and varied. Delicious food would certainly be a winner for us.

Your receipt does look particularly tasty. We trust that it proved a success!!

We have to confess to loving wining and dining.....!!!

My husband loves stews, so this looks wonderful to me. I've never made ratatouille with meat before. Always do the Disney version--like the cute rat chef in the movie Ratatouille. I love that movie!

My partner calls it rata-patooie. I think he would eat the version with meat in it with relish though. Thank you. A little later when he can/will eat more I will make this for him.
