I generally don't like women much. They are loud, self absorbed and obsessed with cleaning. But as I grew older, I have learned to overlook these shortcomings and appreciate the lovely things about them, like their irresistible impulse to nurture whoever is in need, their endless desire to listen, how they somehow manage to transform a house into a home and their overwhelming strength to move on...when things seem hopeless. I am not big on celebrations and this 8th of March I happen to be home alone, nevertheless I could not miss the opportunity to wish to all the women in the world a Happy Women's Day and ladies...rock on, you rule the world!

Happy Women's Day, belatedly. It's taken me a long time to be comfortable in the company of women - I find men much easier to relate to.
I've always gotten along better with men for most of my life, but I'm getting better at appreciating the company of women as I get older too. I'm so glad they finally gave us a day just for women. I only wish it came with cake. :))

Happy Belated Women's Day! I jumped over here from CJ Sullivan's blog. :) I'm not a fan of stereotypical women either. Too much back biting, too much drama, just too much. I do have women friends, but they're not stereotypical. I am getting old enough to refuse to take crap I don't have to. And maybe I'm jealous of their boobs, too. Who knows...
